Smoked Negroni Twist

INGREDIENTS:

1.5 oz Tanqueray No. Ten

0.75 oz Campari

0.75 oz Carpano Sweet Vermouth

0.5 oz fresh lemon juice

2 dashes orange bitters

Ice cubes

Lemon twist, for garnish

Smoke, for presentation (optional)


PREPARATION:

Combine 1.5 oz of Tanqueray No. Ten, 0.75 oz of Campari, 0.75 oz of Carpano Sweet Vermouth, 0.5 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 2 dashes of orange bitters in a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the mixture is well chilled.

Strain the mixture into a coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon twist by expressing the oils over the glass and placing it on the rim.

For a dramatic presentation, use a smoking gun to fill a cloche with smoke. Cover the cocktail with the cloche and let the smoke infuse for a few moments before serving. Lift the cloche at the table to release the aromatic smoke, enhancing the drinking experience.
