VIN BRULE’
INGREDIENTS:
3 oz. Red Wine
3/4 oz. Luxardo Cherry Sangue Morlacco
1 oz. Simple Syrup
2 lemon wedges
1 orange wedge
1 dash of Sambuca
1 dash Amoretti Tangerine Edible Perfume Spray
GARNISH : Orange peel
PREPARATION:
Start by squeezing the citruses in a glass or little pot. Leave the remains of the orange in the glass and add the simple syrup, the cherry liqueur and a dash of Sambuca. Be careful with the Sambuca, make sure it’s just a dash because the Sambuca can easily overpower the drink. Add all the other remaining ingredients, put on heat and bring almost to a boil.
Mmmm isn’t the aroma filling your whole house with deliciousness? It’s ready! Ladle or pour into a mug and garnish with an orange peel and serve.
The color is deep dark burgundy red, reminiscent of the rich red color of the wine. The nose can be very strong.. because adding the liquor to the heat enhances the scent. The taste is balanced between the slight sweetness and unique anise flavors from the Sambuca ending with the dryness of the wine that cleanses the palate….Buon Inverno 2024!
