KIWIRIÑA
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 oz. Cachaça
3 Lime Wedges
3/4 oz. Simple Syrup
1 oz. Kiwi Puree
KIWI PUREE :
2 Fresh Kiwi (peeled)
2 oz. Ginger Syrup
Place fresh kiwi and ginger syrup into blender and puree. Be careful not to blend too long as you don’t want the kiwi seeds breaking down.
PREPARATION:
Directly in a lowball or mixing glass place the limes and simple syrup and muddle until all the juice from the limes is extracted. Next, add the Kiwi puree and Cachaca and a scoop of crushed ice and shake for 5 fast seconds. Serve over ice… and enjoy!
This is a variation of the classic Brazilian cocktail called the Caipirinha. The color is a tranquil kiwi green and the scent is full of fruity notes mixed with that kick of ginger. The taste is tropical and refreshing… the perfect drink to enjoy poolside with friends!
