EMERALD ISLE
INGREDIENTS:
1 oz. Bushmills Irish Whiskey
1 oz. Green Chartreuse
1/2 oz. Martini Bianco
1 egg white
3 lemon wedge
3 basil leaves
3/4 oz. Simple syrup
1 dash of Fernet Branca
PREPARATION :
Start with an Irish mixing glass… add 3 Irish lemon wedges, 3 Irish basil leaves and the Irish simple syrup and start muddling… just like an Irishman will do!
Now add the rest of the ingredients and shake for 5 fast Irish seconds. Strain and pour on the rocks into a lowball or old fashioned glass.. or as I would call it an Irish lowball.
The color is shamrock green and the scent is fresh from the basil and the citrusy lemon. The taste is really unique, very herbaceous with a touch of smokiness coming from the Irish Whiskey. This is the perfect pub drink!
And as a good Irishman would say while holding the galss to the sky…
When we drink, we get drunk.
When we get drunk, we fall asleep.

When we commit no sin, we go to heaven.
