BLOODY MARIO

The strong power of the vodka and the acidity of the lemon mellow the strong taste of the tomato that is highlighted from the warmness of the spices and the exotic sauces.

This is a complex drink, very different. Good as pre-dinner drink as well as paired to a savory plate.

Ingredients:

¾ oz or (3 ct) Tomato Vodka

1 ½ oz or ( 6 ct) Tomato Puree

¾ oz or (3 ct) Italian Style Bloody Mary mixes

Lemon Juice

Tabasco

Worchester Sauce

Mustard

Salt and Celery Salt

Pepper

Basil

Garlic

Preparation:

Who never had, after a rough night at the Club, a nice and chilled Bloody Mary? Is it the best drink ever for a hang over morning?is n`t it?

Well this is totally inspired from the original version with of course an Italian flair of ingredients.

ITALIAN STYLE BLOODY MARY MIX

Take 3 Celery Sticks, 2 basil leaves, and 1 garlic clove. Cut them in small pieces. Add ¼ oz of Tomato Vodka so the celery can absorb all the flavors. You can add instead of the garlic and the basil, a teaspoon of pesto sauce. The color won’t be inviting but the taste will be phenomenal. Leave it in maceration for a couple of hours. Add 5 dashes of Worchester Sauce, one espresso spoon each of mustard and Tabasco (depending how spicy you like it!) ½ oz of fresh limejuice and salt and pepper to taste.

The recipe is prepared directly in the long drink glass with ice. Take your Italian mix, pour 3/4 oz over ice, add your counts of vodka, and finish it with the fresh tomato juice. Mix it with the mixing spoon until the ingredients are very well blended.

Very important for the turn out of your drink is the right proportion of the sauce, the spices and the use of a very well done tomato juice. That is number one ingredient.
